An in-situ upgrade fixes a lot of broken zimbra problems.
Try executing the installer again, it will detect the current mail dirs and prompt you to upgrade - you can do this with the same version eg 5.12 to 5.12
copy the folder first
I'm loving all this delving in to linux. I really need to find a good dummies guide and dive in head first. :p
It would be really usefull if there was a step by step guide on how to install zimbra on the latest version of ubuntu server.
I did find an old guide dating back to 2007 but got very confused at one point.
being a complete linux newbie!!
