aMSN - Ubuntu 8.10

Hi Everyone, I have just installed Ubuntu 8.10 im going to start using it for my desktop pc but im having a problem with aMSN could someone help me install it please i have downloaded the linux one but it goes on about a package manager, thanks Steven.

Go to Add/remove programs and search for pidgin, unless you have a particular reason to use aMSN?

Hi, aMSN i am more familiar with and i can use my webcam with it

OK fair enough, you can install aMSN by either going to the terminal and typing

or go to add / remove in the ubuntu "Applications" menu (top left of your screen) choose "show all available applications" from the drop down box, choose "reload" when prompted, then search for amsn, tick the box under application and choose apply changes.
