Proxy Authentication in Ubuntu?
Before I start, apologies if this seems like a rather basic question, but this is the first time properly using Ubuntu, and Google results have thrown me in all different directions! :o
I have installed Ubuntu (13.04) in work but am behind a proxy I have to authenticate to. I've set up the proxy details in the network settings but cannot find anywhere to add my credentials. I did did some googeling and one result pointed me tol /etc/apt/apt.conf and I had to add my proxy manually along with my username and password like so:
Is this correct? I have to authenticate with a domain login and need to include the domain too. Will this work?
Thanks for the help. :)
