I'm bored so I have rebuilt my pc with ubuntu but I can't for the life of me get it to authenticate against my 2k3 domain. Any one help me with some simple instructions please? :oops:

Well i am not sure that you can connect it to a domain. I thought you could get to the resources you need on a windows domain because you do a ldap lookup on the user.
I would be interested to know this as well. I did look at it ages ago but as you got bored.
You can use Samba http://us1.samba.org/samba i'm not sure if it will work with Ubuntu im not a Linux expert but it is included in SUSE and i use it. Works a treat
Yes samba should be able to get you onto the resources of your domain. It may already be built in to Ubuntu, but may be a samba client. Check under networking or something similar for a samba client.
You may get an error, as Win2k3 has something disabled (can't think what it is at present)
If you have the smb protocol built in to your browser you could type smb:// Followed by the server & resource. I got this to work, but not had the time to get on to my Linux box recently, so may have forgotten some steps.
