Has anyone been having issues with APT and the EMBC Proxy. I've just installed a virtual ubuntu server (natty), entered the proxy when asked to and set the ip to dhcp. yet i can't seem access any apt sources.
EDIT: I can't seem to ping our router either...

6th September 2011, 12:18 PM #2 From memory when I had this issue a while ago i found that the proxy setting didn't propogate correctly, If you are using GUI you could try going to settings -> proxy and re-running proxy settings over the system.
If your running full terminal you may try editing your .bash file as explained here -> https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Ap...e_a_http-proxy

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Ap...e_a_http-proxy thanks for the reply, i've tried that but it didnt work.
I'm not sure what's going on as i can't even ping our router. I'm also at another site and just installed another virtual instance (differnent server) and i'm getting the same thing. The virtual server gets the dhcp stuff just fine, yet i can't ping anything!! hmmmmmm.
