With the new look Ubuntu in 11.04 I like the new task bar on the left but once you have a terminal session open it just brings it to the front rather then opening a new one
Anybody found a way to set it so that you can open multiple?

18th May 2011, 03:22 PM #2 On 10.04LTS I've got the option to open a new tab (ctrl+alt+t).
Does it still do the same thing when you press ctrl+shift+n to open a new window?

Yeah it does - i forgot about that its just annoying you cant click and it opens another one! i expected it to be a bit like win7 where you can over over and select it again and it opens - apparently not!

I've got both with 4 screens and use synergy to connect between them using 1 keyboard and mouse! although i'm starting to use the ubuntu one more and more but mainly for ssh to the servers and i have loads open all the time hence the annoyance of not being able to connect to it directly by pressing the button
