Getting FC4 file server to pick up new users

    Hi

I have a FC4 file server on my win 2003 r2 domain. I have the file server joined to the domain fine it authenticates off existing users in AD fine. However if i want to add new users I have to add them to the AD and then setup the same user on the fie server manually.

Hardly a mammoth task, I agree but it would be nice to have this done automatically....

    Thanks

    Phil

I think you should have a look at Winbind, and add it to the passwd and group entries in /etc/nsswitch.conf which will hopefully do what you're wanting.
