Ok, its a long shot but does anyone have any experience with alsamixer under ubuntu and getting DTS to play instead of static?
An MKV with a DTS audio track triggers the passthrough and my AV Amp switches to decode it, but with a DTS WAV it seems to skip the checking and send it as PCM audio.
There are discussions on the XBMC forums but none for the Live version of it so its my last ditch attempt before using the dual boot into W7 and use VLC
Thanks
Chris

26th April 2010, 10:22 PM #2 Under windows you have to use WASAPI compatible player... amazingly iTunes (go figure) to deliver bit perfect audio via bit streaming. Is it safe to assume ubuntu has its own version of the WASAPI api well its bit streaming equivilant?
