shutdown windows machine from bash cli
My Windows VMs sit on top of a linux (gentoo) host. If i need to reboot the host, i need to manually shut down all 4 windows VMs first.
Its a bit of a hassel.
Is there any way to invoke a Windows server shutdown from the command line on the linux host?

Is that specific to the software you use to run the virtual machines ie virtual box as apposed to say vmware fusion or the likes ( obviously not sure what software they do for virtual machines on linux ).

No, it's using a samba tool from the linux box itself so it's not specific.
