    Nagios monitoring windows services

    I have been using nagios to monitor only what comes with the install such as disk space, cpu usage and so on. No other addins or such.

    How would I ask magios to check the status of certain services like SQL Server service, RPC & any other that is in teh computers services

    Details on how to do it can be found here: Monitoring Windows Machines

    But in essence, with nsclient++ client installed on the windows server, and it set up as per usual in the nagios config files, you add service definitions such as

    Code:
    define service{
    	use			generic-service
    	host_name			winserver
    	service_description	W3SVC
    	check_command		check_nt!SERVICESTATE!-d SHOWALL -l W3SVC
    	}
    Which would check the http service on that server.
