Firefox (/Iceweasel) is such a complex package it does take some work to maintain, plus it's a such an important component it gets lots and lots of testing before it even reaches the unstable suite.

Something to do with Firefox 3.5 came down as an update but it did not upgrade my browser.

oh right.. i didnt realise we could delete our posts... no worries.

added the karmic repositories and was able to upgrade to 3.5 that way.
