    Terminal Help

OK, i know what im asking should not really be done, but the machines i have created are for pupil use, and they have absolutly no need to use terminal, or should i say, i dont want them to use terminal.

Is there a way to "lock" terminal?

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Thanks,

    Tom

In ubuntu there is a lockdown editor that can be added on. Not sure how well that will work though.

Aside from that, can you not just create a new user with a very tied down account?

    Add/remove applications

    Search for lockdown

    Install "lockdown editor"

The it appears in "System > Administration > Lockdown Editor"

And there's a tick box to disable terminal (command line)

You could always chance the default shell for the users... something b0rk3n should be good and it will prevent use of the terminal.
