*nix Thread, hp servers in Technical; I'm impressed. ubuntu installed without any issue on a oldish HP ML350 server....

    Blame Redhat. They have a lot of HP servers listed in their supported hardware list. Thus thats how the driver support has wound up in the kernel.

    We use HP servers exclusively for our Linux boxes (Although in the past we've also used Dell kit with success).
