I've setup an ubuntu LAMP box. It's on the 192.168.3.0 subnet. That's the servers subnet.
The desktop machines are on 192.168.0.0 192.168.1.0 and 192.168.2.0.
I want to be able to SSH and FTP to my LAMP server from a machine on these subnets but it appears to be blocking them. I can get to them fine from the 192.168.3.0 subnet though.
Any ideas as to how i can set it up to allow access from these extra subnets?
I'm thinking something about the hosts.allow file but not being all /that/ hot on *nix i thought i'd ask.

s'OK. It's nice to see someone below 18 who knows what a subnet mask is anyways

heh heh heh
Well i MSTSC'd into the servers and played about with the config over SSH from the 192.168.3.0 subnet and then mstsc'd to another machine from there on the 192.168.0.0 subnet and it's working.
I'm 18 on the 23rd July LOL.
I need a job due to lack of money. So anyone in/near Walsall who needs a temporary summer techie i'll be glad to take up the role

Re: Allow access to services from different subnets
You MSTSCed to LAMP? Does Ubuntu do an RDP daemon?

Which reminds does anyone know how the keyboard shortcut to get the session Window tab back after setting autohide. I had to restart KDE to drop the connection

There is actually an RDP server for Linux.
http://xrdp.sourceforge.net/
I use FreeNX instead.
