Even my mum prefers ubuntu to windows, and she is old.

Yep , We use Linux fat Clients, started with a room of 20 this september we will have to more rooms of 30 running it. Runs Crossover for Macromedia. All other Windows computers in the school uses open source software.
Have had complaints but they have always been fixed.
