    Linux

I'm looking to get Linux, PHP and MySQL installed on a server. I've not got the knowledge myself to do this so I'm wondering if anyone here is interested? PM me what you'll charge.

If you use Ubuntu server it's easy as pie. Walks you through if you know what all your settings are to be.

You may have problems maintaining a system if you have zero knowledge of it though - I'd recommend installing yourself and learning the basics (it isn't hard at all).

I second that. If you can't put a cd in a drive and follow the onscreen instructions it's probably time you got into management.

I could do that... if the server wasn't racked in France.

I've got someone now. Well, they've agreed to do it but haven't done it yet.

If you're even a little unsure of said somebody, it might be worth running chkrootkit or rkhunter etc just incase they left you a surprise.

    Call me paranoid ...

I trust them but if I can work out how to use those things then I'll give it a whirl.

    Which distro are you running?

Also, if you're racked in France... where? I'm looking to bridge my links in Amsterdam and Germany.

    It's running Ubuntu.

The data centre is in Roubaix.

I've installed vB but the time is wrong, regardless of the settings, so I think the server time is incorrect. Seems to be when I use SSH. Can someone advise me on how to change the server time? I used the date command but that doesn't seem to have fixed the vB problem so I think it may be something to do with the time zone.
