    Mandriva 2008: Folder permissions reset after reboot

    I have a folder which I want to share locally between two non-admin accounts on the same box. I put the two accounts in a group and then gave that group read write permissions to the folder. The trouble is every time the PC boots/restarts, the folder permissions for the group revert to execute only.

    This weird enough but the folder was created by one of the group members so presumably that account should still have access to the folder or am I still thinking in Windows.

    Mandrake security might be resetting it for you.
    Maybe set CHECK_PERMS to no/false/off
