Hi All
My saga continues - thus far, I have:
A ubuntu 6.06 LTS desktop client, which is configured with kerberos (boy what an ordeal that was). I can login to AD via the terminal, get a kerberos ticket, browse users/groups, and have joined the computer to my AD domain.
However now I would like to know how to get ubuntu to actually log someone onto my AD domain. At the moment, I can logon as domain administrator using the domain password and the ubuntu logon gui, so it is seeing the domain account and authenticating that properly. However I am unable to logon as anyone else - not even my own personal account which has domain admin rights. I've followed a few tutorials to get this far, but they all seem to assume I will be logging on via SSH/terminal - which I am not.
Anyone offer any pointer?
Thanks

When it doesn't let you log on, what errors do you get in syslog or on the domain controller if any?
Can other users log into the machine via ssh? (as in, do the tutorials work up to that point?)
I assume you've found https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ActiveDirectoryHowto
