Kid saved work %somewhere% - need cmd to find it on file server

Hi - normally I'd say the kid can try REMEMBERING where they save stuff, but the head's asked and I'm no Linux guru.

Our file servers here run Linux (yay?) and I need some sort of command that will show me a list of files created or modified by the user in question last Friday.

Is this an easy one? Is someone about to make this look simple? V grateful for any help.

Doesn't really help but in past experiences %somewhere% means 'I didn't save it but don't want to get in trouble'.

Don't know off the top of my head but try 'man find' and have a look at the options.

    --edit--

Just had a quick read myself and something along the lines of

    Code:
    find -user $NAME -amin $n
Where $name is username and $n is how long ago in minutes it was last accessed.

You need some variation on the "ls -l" command piped into sort - have a read of linux - How can I sort ls by owner and group? - Super User for some examples
