What popular manufacturers come to your mind if I was ask you to name makes that schools buy as cheap & cheerful Linux desk tops.

Any particular models?

not tried them, but a friend emailed me about them a while back and the name stuck in my head. Probably if I wanted cheap and cheerful linux desktops I'd use old ones and use thin client LTSP.

The obvious answer is to buy stuff that has come out of offices... our sponsor ICT Direct springs to mind.

Incidentally, from reading Linux Format, I believe it is cheaper to buy a Dell with Vista on it than one with Ubuntu on it!!!
