Hi all,
I have previously got this working via Windows IAS but feel loathed to pay for another license of Windows 2k3 to run it. So, my question is this:
Is it possible, and if so how, to run FreeRadius as a MAC based authentication server for my network? It would need to assign VLAN's depending on MAC.
I've had a bit of a look around the interweb and have come across bits and pieces but I am failing to pull it all together in my head.
Cheers
Tony

MAC based authentication?
You mean the only authentication for a valid user to connect to your wireless network is it mac address?
If so then save yourself some work and just use no encryption and make your network open.

Not for wireless, no. This is to enable dynamic VLAN assignments based on MAC addresses. So, say, a phone is plugged in - it should be assigned to VLAN 2, but a teacher's laptop should be VLAN 3 etc...

Ah ok in that case cool.
