74% of firms may not fully recover their data after an IT failure
Source: BBC News - Firms 'ill prepared for IT failure'
74% of companies and public sector organisations questioned admitted they may not recover all their data or computer systems after an IT failure.
I would expect some to be ill-prepared (pronounced "underfunded against the protestations of network managers") but that is an overwhelming majority living on borrowed time. Particularly when IT is so essential to, well, everything now, it's an appalling figure.
Some times I read something online that makes me think: maybe I'm not doing such a bad job after all.
