2nd December 2011, 11:20 PM #1 US Government: No Overtime Pay for IT People
Wow is the US really this terrible US Senator Proposes Bill To Eliminate Overtime For IT Workers - Slashdot it has not been passed but someone in the US congress has decided that it would be a good idea if overtime (pay - from what I can see) was outlawed.
I'm personally suprised that their current system has not ended in a Fight Clubesk demolotion of structures yet.

2nd December 2011, 11:29 PM #2 Yeah, that's *really* not gonna end well... Do the congressmen thinking of doing this not understand that their pay goes through systems run by IT people. Their entire lives are determined by IT people... Annoying them to such an extent is basically asking for those missing a few scruples do do bad things to them...

2nd December 2011, 11:57 PM #3 The people who leave the world of Government funded IT will only move to the private sector...from which point they will just charge higher prices for their services and be fully able to get away from it.

It is not just for government, they are making the law affect all IT people in the country over a certain pay rate.
