Google now Measures Site Speed in PageRank Algorithm
Looks like the new faster EduGeek could not have been better timed, Google has just started using page load times as one of the metrics for its PageRank system.
Official Google Webmaster Central Blog: Using site speed in web search ranking
For the moment speed is not too heavily weighted and affects only about 1% of the sites that are crawled but it is Google's aim to speed up the web so this may change depending on their results.

Well since the new site went live we have taken an almost 10k per day jump in unique visitors!
Oh, and one of the most popular search phrases from Google that gets people onto the site is 'Alton Towers 13' or a combination thereof taking up 8 of the top 25 search keywords! Weird.
