    Interesting. Almost looked like a balanced article until they threw in the usual journalistic cheap shot about Vista, which is getting even more boring that people whingeing that Macs are expensive.



    I think their list should also have included "every programmer who used 2-digit years in their code" for the amount of work that had to go into avoiding the Y2K problem. Also, whoever is in charge of HP's print driver team should be #1.

    I would say yahoo shareholders might put jerry yang in that top 10, for obvious reasons

    But wait, it's a yahoo! article so what chance a bit of impartiality ? about as likely as the shareholders getting a whiff of that original offer from steve ballmer.

    I remember a separate article years ago that gave them the #1 'hero' position for that same mistake. The argument was that if IBM had kept proprietary control of the DOS licence, other companies would not have been able to build the cheap IBM-compatible PCs that spawned the PC market we know today.
