Great bit of news, I knew they would break it eventually but damn that was fast. The first BD+ discs only came out a month ago (see Fantastic Four: Silver Surfer Blue Ray) and they already have cracked it. Maybe the studies will realize its a pointless battle that only affects the people that actually paid the media.
COPY AND BURN FIRM, Slysoft reckons it has cracked the beefed-up copy protection on Blu-ray disks, BD+.
It reckons it has the routine cracked even though Sony reckons its protection will be good for ten years.
SlySoft boss, Giancarlo Bettini says he has wonders "when people will understand that the more restrictions, pressures and protection measures that are applied to limit the functionality of a thing, the fewer sales that will result, not more."
According to German reports, Bettini reckons he'll have commercial Blu-ray disk-copying software out by the end of the year

Quicker than Sony expected too, seeing as it wanted it to last 10 years.

I just thought though if people start ripping from them and putting films/games etc on torrent sites and that imagine how big the files are going to be ''Your ISP aint going to like you very much''

Tough cookies. If an ISP can't handle the demands of it's users and is unwilling to improve it's infrastructure to cope, it has no business being an ISP.

like the way you said that
110% agree.. see i know BE Unlimited have been sending emails to there customers basically telling them to stop downloading from torrent sites.. for example people who have been downloaded Loads of Films from the net must of downloaded gigs of data and they have been picking up on this and warning then to stop it or they will terminate there connection.
Well that was what i was told by a few people who are on BE.

Pipex grass you up to people as 5 of my friends have received letters from Paramount etc and they were all on pipex.
If its in mpeg 4 format @ 720p most films are only around 2-3gb which is better then 25gb.

meh, if sony says its good for 10 years, its bound to be good for 10 minutes. ISP's are evolving, they will have to deal with high bandwidth users. IPTV ect are all just around the corner.
This country needs fibre!! i dont see why BT should have to do it on there own either.

I was on the Max Package with skt broadband, erm when i last checked i had 7 meg Downlaod and 745kbps upload, and i was living 1.8 miles away from my exchange... but i am moving house at the moment and my new house will be on a differant exchange and i will be living 0.2 miles away from my exchange so finger crossed should get near enough the 16meg download that i shouldbe getting. one i have moved i willm do a test and give you the exact fingers but i never have any trouble with sky great service.. and never have any problems at all
Hope that helps.. and like i say i will send u a PM when i have done a test for you

It's a bit unfair to be blaming the ISP for not being able to cope with the demand. Although they aren't totally blameless. Either people need to be prepared to pay more for their bandwidth or BT/the regulator remove the artificial price fixing for wholesale ADSL products.
