This has just been posted by the BBC in the past hour: BBC News - Liberty Global to buy Virgin Media for $23.3bn
They have been brought out for $23.3bn (£15bn) by Liberty Global. This is still subject to shareholder and regulatory approval however. Interesting times.

Said they wouldn't on the radio. Move seems more aimed at Pay TV and giving Sky some decent competition than any interest in the data services.

Hopefully they'll start aggressively laying new cable then, I've been desperate to return to Virgin for years but they have no cable in my area!
