I too have started to look into developing my own system using this software suite. I don't think there is a particular plug-in that will work, you'll sort of have to DIY it yourself.

27th March 2009, 10:20 AM #3 We use Joomla here as digtal signage, our other tech set it up. Much nicer than our boring old static HTML one. There are plenty of modules that are helpful, but the best thing is once it is set up all you have to do is add articles and an expiry date nothing else!

i've used xibo, and it's wasn't the best solution for us. it didn't like taking any of our powerpoints made in 2007 and saved as a .ppt. dunno why but gave up after 30 mins.

Reason: mistake, .doc to .ppt.

23rd November 2009, 09:43 AM #9 You have to have powerpoint installed on the XIBO client machine for it to work and have to allow it to open embeded content in Internet Explorer, then it works flawlessly.
I have 4 screens controlled by XIBO now, and they all works pretty well considering it's opensource.
