Mine is sitting at about 600Gb, 990 pupils / 90 staff.

Departments folders take up most of that though!

    850 Kids, 100 Staff = 200Gb - just their home folders

I can only dream of my backup being 60Gb!

    Approaching 190Gb - takes around 6 hours

205 for servers and user data (user data is around 150gb) 100 staff 1000 students. File quotas are very useful. I will not throw around large amounts of space when I *know* most of it is full of crap.

    Easy to back then too

Re: How big is your backup?

Full backup including all user data, common area etc is just over 500GB

    1700 students, 200 staff

    So not too bad actually

I do however have various restrictions to stop students saving any video + audio files in their areas, and I viciously exclude any similar files the staff have stored from the backup
