Where can i get a really decent RJ45 crimping tool?

Im fed up of buying ones for £10/£20 that barely last for more than a few cables
Would be much better to spend £50/£60 now on a decent one that will last

Any suggestions? Because I find the majority of suppliers ONLY sell cheap plasticky ones now

AMP NetConnect 734218-3 - cost about £60-70 but 6 years, 5 IT suites and god knows how many cable runs later it's still going strong Has a lovely hefty feel to it too if you're the sort of person sad enough to appreciate that sort of thing! (I know I am!)

I recommend the equipment by 'Pro's Kit'. I have one of their 'Super Crimpers' (can do RJ45 and RJ11) and it is superb. It is a ratchet crimper too.

Got mine from Local CEF (city electrical factors) its a ratchet crimper so you allways crimp with the correct pressure.

Ratchet crimper from RS - does RJ11 too. Great bit of kit, also got a coax crimper and a 'general' crimper...

    Expensive - but worth it

I have a very cheap Ebuyer one I use at home (yes im sad enough to crimp cables at home) and it is the best one ive ever used
Reluctant to buy one like that for work though as we've been through so many

Its just a knack getting them in the right order. It used to take me ages and Id make mistakes with it but Ive done so many now its easy

I think I'll take a look at an AMP crimper. Thanks guys
