    Re: One way messaging

Provided your clients have the Messenger service running and not firewalled, you can use windows' built-in net send command:

    Code:
net send /domain:mydomain Logoff now or forever lose your work.
Would send the message to all users loggged in to the domain 'mydomain'.

No, unless they use net send - which you most certainly don't want in a school

Is this for staff or pupil use?

    Re: One way messaging

The messenger service just provides the user a pop up containing your message and the option to close it by clicking ok.

Don't confuse the inbuilt messenger service with msn messenger.

    It's completely different.
