Hello,
Here at our school we have a curriculum IP range and an admin IP range. Being the ICT technician my computer frequently needs to connect to both to manage some printers, resources and perform certain tasks.
Our server has two network cards which are both patched into our network and on the same domain. All the switches are attached (i.e. there is no physically seperate admin / curriculum network).
My question is- is it possible to operate on both these networks at the same time from one machine? If not- what could I do to make the process easier?

31st January 2011, 10:45 AM #2 depends what you mean by operate on both networks. You cant be a member of both domains but trusts can be set up so you can login to either though your pc is based in 1

31st January 2011, 10:45 AM #3 have the IP ranges set on the network card
go to properties of IPv4
Add an IP range in the boxes
Click on advanced
Add another IP range
Add another gateway
Add another DNS
Et voila, IP range to cover both networks
If you need to add domains, domain trusts should be done.
