Hello,
Today, for some reason, some of our admin machines cannot function on the network. Our curriculum machines are fine and some admin machines are also fine. We have 2 network cards on our server both going onto our network- we don't have seperate switches.
If I change the IP address on this PC to a curriculum one...no problem (i'm typing this!) but if i change it to an admin address...nothing. No network access.
HELP!
J

Hello Admiral,
Got it sorted. Don't know WHY they suddenly stopped working but for the last year or so their DNS server settings have been set to 10.51.*.* and their IP set to 10.123.*.* I changed the DNS server settings to be in the same range as the IP address (after successfully pinging it) and now they work. What the???
I know i've sorted it...but why should it suddenly make a difference?
