Proxy Websites
Hey guys,
I've just found this Forum its from the school kid who has kindly created sites such as Proxy Button its his forum listing all his new proxy sites and development of them.
Could be of use to those with on site filtering to try and get ahead of the students.

Worth noting indeed.
Most of our proxy filtering these days is by recognising the proxy software, rather than looking at names, but it always helps to have a list of URLs too.

Re: Proxy Websites
I'm not too hot on the old proxy set up! lol.
We have and EMBC connection, i've just reported proxybutton.com they added it to the global deny list, however their netsweeper software doesn't seem to work and we can still access it! lol The first time i phoned they said they will have to call netsweeper at 2pm (when Canadians wake up!) to try and fix. However the promise of a phone call back never happend, so just rang up again to chase it and they told me to leave it with them and they'll call me!

The Dansguardian box here stomps on all the proxies listed on that site. I will however leave the forum unblocked. It'll be useful to keep tabs on the proxy situation.

We're already blocking nph-proxy as a general case, so it would get stomped on. Obviously *I* can get hold of the forum, but it's now blocked in the "proxies" URL list on SchoolGuardian (or will be in next update).

I like giving people things to impale themselves with. It makes it easier to search for things in the proxy logs.

Re: Proxy Websites
Just picked up a new proxy that the students have found and been using .... until now that is ... he he he
pupilpass.com
Reported it to smartfilter so should be in their updates tomorrow
And another one ...
proxie.co.uk
and another one:
www.electricmilkshake.com
This comes from the very useful mailing list provided by peacefire.org (filtered). If you sign up they e-mail you every time they create a new anonymiser

Just been told about 6rooms.net. Seems to be a YouTube mirror/backdoor. I can't quite work out if it is an official type back door or a very well done one that has been set up but it allows video viewing so can't be using the youTube URL for serving them up.

Just been told about this by my collegue (so it may have been mentioned on here already)

Its a web based OS. This particular one isnt free but has a demo which is fully functionable so kids can use the inbuilt browser to look at what ever they want. Will be fun when these WebOS's become popular.
One day ill get rid of cachepilot and its compleately pointless "Smartfilter" - useless idiots
