Good 24port Gigabit switch for Server SAN connection
looking for a good quality but not overly expensive gigabit switch with jumbo frame/link aggregation to place between our 2 Hyper-V servers and SAN
no fibre or 10G ports necessary.
currently using 3com around the school, but they are just part of HP now so not bothered.
have seen
Scan.co.uk: 24Port Netgear GSM7224R-100EUS, Layer 2 Managed Gbit Switch with Static Routing
and this so far
DGS-3024: 24-Port Managed Copper Gigabit Switch - Network switches, gigabit switches, ethernet switch solutions, port switches and other network switches from D-Link, from D-Link Business

7th July 2010, 11:38 AM #2 I use the DGS-3024 both as our edge switches and we have one just for SAN switch. For the money they do the job and have plenty of features, So far they have been very reliable we have had 1 failure in 4 years.
