I know this has been talked about a lot before but I can't for the life of me find the threads.
I want to look into stopping a kid logging on twice concurrently to the
Windows 2003 network.
Cheers.
A search for limitlogon should help you find what your looking for.
Alternativley it can be done using vb scripts and a hidden share.
it was the vbscripts and hidden share method i was looking for.
Is there a version that we can use on RM CC3? We have problems with account sharing when kids get banned.
Which is the easier method?
Ive heard of limitlogon for a long time, but never thought we needed it till recently where there has been a lot of kids letting others use their account while they're already logged on
CConnect works fine on CC3 - although limitlogon is better, not sure of it's compatibility with CC3 as we're now vanilla - but in theory it should be OK, AYOR.

We use UserLock from IsDecisions.
Have used Flo Max Logons which is part of Flo User Manager - I found it a life saver in a vanilla envrionment.
Flo Max Logons lets you specify by group and user how many concurrent logons they can have. So you can restrict pupils and not staf (although I have restricted some numpt staff too!) - reasonably priced too.
