Heya,

I'm a complete novice when it comes to fibre connections so can anyone help me out?

I'm wanting to replace our old superstack II dual speed hub with something a little more up to date but the problem is it links to the other side of school using ST Fibre Cables and newer fibre switches i've seen use SFP connectors.

Is there a way of converting from ST to SFP using adapters or is it a completely different kind of animal.

can you point me towards a switch that doesn't cost an arm and a leg that will utilise our ST fibre cable?
