Hi,
I have a bit of problem the was an alteration made in the NOD32 remote administration config and now all the clients wont point to the correct server and I cant push an config to them because they dont connect to the server to check for updated configs :/
does anyone know a quick fix preferably some sort of script to change the remote administration server of the clients?
Thanks
MIke
If the machines in questions are listed in the admin console then you should be able to push a new config file to them, regardless of their update server setting. The clients would need a reboot to ensure the new settings had been received.
However, if that oesn't work you could try a reinstall to the clients, with the new settings in place. Again the clients would need a re-boot.
I have told it to push the new config to the clients but it never manages to do it.
I have restarted them and try to run the uninstall from the console but that also fails![]()
ah i had to add PASSWORD="mypass" to the command line to uninstall :]
thanks for you help I should be able to sort it from here.
You could try to create a DNS entry (CNAME) with the old server name that points the clients to the new server.
