We are thinking of adding a NAS box to the network to hold/share multimedia resources.
Anyone have any recommendations for a good solution?
I was looking at the Buffalo Terrastation.
TIA

You can do better than that by building your own and using Freenas [ FreeBSD ] plus get much more features.Buffalo TeraStation Pro II 1TB 19 Rackmount Network Attached Storage £395.00+vat Free Next Day Delivery
If you want a straight out the box solution though its quite a good price.....
Be careful of these if you have lots of users and want to use AD authentication. We bought one and soon discovered an undocumented feature - the AD authentication only supports up to 1000 users!
Its coded into their software and they wouldn't change it. We ended up sending it back.

Buffalo TeraStations all the way...good robust piece of kit, i have several schools that use those and never had any problems.

Also Openfiler (see Openfiler — Openfiler Homepage ) - even MORE features (e.g. iSCSI).

Thanks everyone! And thanks Simon for the call, always a pleasure.

I had a Terastation fail a few months ago. The network card part of it failed and it was out of warranty.
I'll build my own in future than trust one of these again. At least I can get off the shelf parts if it fails.
Following on from the previous comments about self build. Anyone care to offer up a spec they have used for self build and is now "doing the business" I am looking more at back up than shared drives also rack mount version. Much appreciated in advance!! Ta
Buffalo Terastation here too although only for backup.
