I am having some trouble with some new laptops we bought, they are connected to an access point, they connect fine but when they are first turned on the wireless does not connect in time before group policy is applied and it misses any gpo that need to be applied.
I have set in gpo the setting Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon.
The wireless card built in the machine is Realtek RTL8187B.
We have other wireless cards in laptops that do connect to the wireless access point before gpo is applied so i am assuming this is laptop specific.
Any ideas would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks

Are you using the Windows utility, if not i would do.

There is a registry key where you can tell windows to wait longer for the network, during boot, before it trys to apply GPO will try to find the fix think there should be something in the event log you can use to find the article on the microsoft site.
