I've got one class where they keep on reporting problems with both the teacher computer and the 2 class ones as well and I wondered if they might have some sort of dodgy network connection. (Done some equipment substitution but got nowhere)
Can anyone recommend any sort of network/packet testing freeware that can just run as a background process to test workstation network communication.
regards
Simon

What kind of problems are they reporting?

Just try pinging things. That'll show up most connectivity problems.
Chances are it'll be the duplexing mode. If the switch and the nics decide on differing settings bad things will happen.

Re: Dodgy Network
Yeah. It would really help to know what the problems are. All you may need is a simple ping command or ipconfig.
Are the problems with logging on, GPO application, internet access etc.?
