Hi all,
I've got a bit of a major issue today where 2 ICT suites have stopped working. Looking into it all, it appears the machines aren't getting IP addresses from the server. The IAS server is authenticating them and assigning them to their VLANs (each room has its own).
They are spread across 2 switches and are running Windows XP Pro SP2.
The DHCP server is working fine (other machines are getting their addresses just fine).
When these machines request IP addresses, an entry appears in the DHCP server with 'BAD_ADDRESS' and an incorrect MAC address.
Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

6th November 2008, 04:08 PM #3 I had that same problem earlier today actually! Mine was down to the PC picking up an IP address which was associated to another PC in DNS. I know that shouldn't matter, and have done it before without issue, all I can say is that deleting the old DNS and DHCP entries allowed the PC to complete the connection.
