Does anyone have any experience in using the cachepilot v4 and the smartfilter category's as for example i have ticked Forum, Bulletin Boards on the category's.
How do i then allow any website that happens to be filtered by smartfilter in that category.
Up to now i have had to add it to the Global Permitted Whitelist and that worked for a while, but if i want to block for students and allow for staff, being in the Global Permitted Whitelist it unblocks for everyone even if i then add it to the student black list.
Would appreciate any help.

19th September 2008, 09:55 AM #2 I haven't used CachePilot but I used to have NetPilot, look at the order that the rules are implemented, from what I remember it goes from the top down, so if a rule at the top says block then a rule below it says unblock the top rule is used and it will stay blocked. It can be a pain but once you have it sorted then it should work.

Will try the other way see how that works out.

Yes if you have an allow list with sites in it before the block URL categories bit
also URL must not have a trailing / at the end (don't ask me why ).
