PDF Print Server

I'm investigating a PDF print server driver rather than deploying individual local printers. Requirements: must prompt the user for a destination, or be able to put it in their home drive; must be sharable; useful if it was free but not the end of the world.

Any ideas/experiences?

you could try cute ftp writer is free, and should be able to work in the way your wanting, just treat it like a normal printer

pdfcreator can put it into your users home folders providing that the user account it runs under which is I think system has access to those folders.
