I've been waiting for the new version to come out as this version of endpoint has a basic NAC function which looked pretty nice when I saw a demo... basic but nice.
Decided redeploy Enterprise console with a fresh version of SQL express 2005 so I could switch drives and free up a bit of space... all went well.
Unfortunately the NAC functions only supports MSDE 2000, WTF. Sorry but if the Enterprise Console runs on it you would have thought they would get the NAC database to run on it too.
I really should read these things called 'instructions' sometimes.

15th April 2008, 10:51 PM #2 No I wouldnt I'm sitting here with the manuals in a ring binder, yes theres that many of them!!! and I'm getting lost in the world of NAC policies and stuff, I think the easiest way is to install it and kill the network with kindness and then fix later
All I wanted to do was keep the flippin kids who take Sophos off or when its gets wildly out of date in a nice naughty computer holding pen.
