Hello, am a totally novice when it comes to switches, and was wondering if someone could help or point me in right direction.
We run two domains, and one network.
We currently have a dumb switch in one building, connected via CAT5 converted from fibre. This fibre was carrying just one domain.
We have purchased a Netgear L2 switch to replace the dumb switch, with the plan to carry both domains over from our other switches via the GBIC ports, which have VLANs setup, all other switches are Cisco.
I have logged into one of our existing switches via the console and know the names of and IDs of our existing VLANs.
So my question is, how would I go about setting up the VLAN on the new Netgear switch, any ideas or pointers.
Thanks.
