Vanilla Server on CC3
Hi All
I've just setup a Vanilla server running Windows Server 2003 and joined it to our CC3 domain with the intention of using it as a terminal server. I have moved its account in AD to the 'Servers - No Inheritance' OU and all seems well. I can log on as any administrator and everything works as expected.
However, if I try logging on to this server as a student or staff user I get the messgae....
"Logon Failed. You are connected to the remote computer. However, an error occurred while an initial user program was starting, so you are being logged off. Contact the system administrator for assistance."
And I'm stumped for ideas! Anyone else had this and found a solution?
Cheers

Have you added them to the remote desktop users group?

Hi Kim
Yes I have added them to the remote users group.

Have you allowed them access to the mstsc.exe application?
Might be easier if you outline how you're accessing the TS server i.e. web based or through the rdp client.
Anything useful in the Vanilla Server event logs?

Users are launching rdp on their client machine to establish a connection with the server.
mstsc.exe - I haven't altered any permissions on this. Should I?

Changed permissions on explorer.exe to allow Domain Users to Read & Execute and all now works fine.
