Anyone know how to determine the last time a file was accessed on the shared area's on CC3 Windows 2000 Server. Any scripts or software available that can do this? I am trying to free up some space and would like to show staff a list of file s that have not beed accessed within a certain time period so that they can be removed.
By right clicking the file and looking at its Properties will reveal this information.
don't fancy looking through 35.000 files
Even if you scripted it, you'd have 35,000 dates to look at. What's the difference?

Rather than removing data, you should consider archiving it on an external hard drive.
Thats exactly what i plan to do with files that have not been accessed in some time.
