    Impero - Delete Files doesnt work

    I was wondering if anyone will be able to help me out on the deleted files notification in impero. We have tested to see if the deleted file notification works as we have had a few users say they have deleted files and I thought impero would have logged them. Well, after a bit of testing, it seems the deleted files notification or log doesn't seem to be working.

    Should I have ticked a box to enable logging of deleted files? Does it only work on local file deletes rather than network deletes?

    Hmmm... it's interesting you say that, I was asked to look if a pupil had deleted work, so I checked Impero, nothing deleted... if it's not logging it, that could explain a lot!

    Maybe it's just not detecting deletions from mapped drives, have you checked whether it detects them from local drives?

    I'll try later too if I get chance...

    Their support is top notch.

    It's not working here either though. The tick box is ticked in the server software, but nothing is logged about the files I deleted... the Window Captions has grabbed that I deleted multiple files though...

    Yeah i have looked at if it logs the deleted local files, this too doesnt work.

    I have been in contact with them a fair few times and have suggested various changes. One of which, if you have a teacher just viewing their class and a different class teacher puts a student in the no internet access group, any other teacher can give the internet access back.

    Sorry for delay in replying. There was a bug in certain setups that meant that deleted files wasn't working quite right... All fixed in in the next release (3.5).
