Good Morning ALL,
Hope everyone has gotten over all there password resets for the term!
Quick question, does anyone know if there is any software out there that could tell me the top 10/100 or however many websites that are been visited within my college? accessed or tried to access?
We had securus in a while back showing there product we chose not to go with them but like the top web hits part they had!
Thanks

You use your own built web filtering? Wow.
Hmm. Well you'd need something at the gateway to grab this data. Smoothwall Express might do it but you'd need a box to run it on.

Unsurprisingly Microsoft Live@edu and Google dominate our top 10
Nice to see Wikipedia and Twitter in the top 25 though.

chances are it uses samba/dansguardian, if so you could collect and analyse the log if you can get root access to that machine.
thinking outside the box, perhaps you could analyse DNS queries? it wouldn't be so accurate but may be indicative.
